Who is Andrea Alban Gosline

Andrea Alban (a.k.a. Andrea Gosline) was born in Baltimore, MD in 1959, but she spent her childhood in San Francisco, where she still resides with her family. She has always had a love for reading, visiting the Merced Branch Library on a weekly basis and returning home with a pile of books on various subjects. After earning her B.A. cum laude in English/Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, Andrea self-published her first poetry book at the age of six. Today, she is a mother of two and the author of three picture books. Her forthcoming debut novel, Anyas War, is inspired by her father’s childhood as one of the Shanghai Jews. In addition to her writing, Andrea is a dynamic speaker and serves on the faculty of Book Passage and its annual Children’s Writer Conference. She also offers private consultations for writers of all ages.
